Symps Ndlovu is a husband to his wife Jenn, a father to their two children, an ordained minister, a local pastor, and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Indiana. Born, raised, and trained for ministry in Johannesburg, South Africa, he served there in a pastoral care role for nine years before moving to the United States. He graduated with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.
Symps examines life's difficulties under the authority of scripture, which serves as his worldview, while utilizing the most helpful discoveries in Clinical Psychology. This integration allows him to offer mental health counseling from a Christian Biblical Worldview. His passion is to integrate useful psychotherapy tools and modalities based on a client's individual needs and personality. He provides counseling support to adolescents, college-age and young adults, couples, and adults as they deal with mental health issues and general life struggles.
In therapy, Symps believes in working on issues from their roots rather than just addressing the symptoms. He also views therapy as a redemptive work of reflecting on one's own experience and on others' experience of them. As a South African-American, Symps feels blessed and uniquely gifted to relate well to diverse cultures and to see things from a slightly different perspective.
Now, as part of Grace Love and Connection, Symps invites clients to come on an amazing, unfolding journey to become the authentic individuals that God created them to be.
