Tonisha King, a Fort Wayne, Indiana native, is a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) with a strong passion for empowering individuals and families.
After earning her bachelor's degree from the University of Saint Francis, she pursued her master's in school counseling and later earned a post-master's certificate in mental health counseling. This academic journey has equipped Tonisha with the tools necessary to guide others through life's challenges.
With five years of experience as a school counselor at a local high school, Tonisha has worked closely with teens and young adults, fostering growth, resilience, and self-discovery. Her work includes creating and facilitating empowering groups for teen girls, encouraging them to embrace their unique strengths and potential. Tonisha is not only dedicated to supporting teens but also eager to work with couples, blended families, and adults, offering a variety of treatment modalities to meet the needs of her clients. These include client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, family systems, emotion- focused, dialectical behavior therapy, play therapy, and faith integration, when requested.
Tonisha's passion for helping others is driven by the belief that everyone has the ability to succeed and grow. In her personal life, she is a proud mother of two daughters, and in her downtime, she cherishes time spent with her family and friends. She enjoys attending church, traveling, and prioritizing self-care. Known for her kindness, care, and genuine concern for others, Tonisha is committed to creating a safe and supportive space for clients to explore and overcome their challenges.
